We teamed up with long standing client DRPG, working alongside Worcester’s Big Parade, to create an augmented reality experience for their latest project “What’s the Elephant in the Room?”, aiming to bring creative awareness towards mental health. The Elephant in the Room project allows users to design their own unique elephant which can be uploaded and brought to life through the augmented reality app. All whilst learning about how to deal with issues surrounding mental health.
Inspired by the well-known expression, ‘Elephant in the Room’, we have developed an augmented reality app which places a 3D elephant in the room to showcase the users design reflecting what mental health means to them. Anyone can download the template to create their elephant design using traditional methods or image editing software. Users can then see your design on a 3D elephant and place it in the real world. Finger gestures can be used to rotate and scale the elephant and a snapshot feature allows users to cature an image of their elephant to share on social media. Designs can be uploaded to the website to feature on the Hologram installation at Worcester Crowngate Centre.
Try It Out!
Simply download the template and create your own elephant artwork. When you’re done, download the app and upload the artwork to see your elephant in a real environment. More details can be found on the What’s the Elephant in the Room website.
