Project Outline
Edwards is a globally successful vacuum engineering company with over 100 years of rich heritage. This all began with FD Edwards, a physicist who opened up his first store in 1919. The main objective for this project was to deliver a cutting edge 3D virtual event by developing Edwards’ own Virtual Pavilion.
Delivering a 3D Virtual Event
Our goal was to create a virtual environment which embodies Edwards, their latest products and solutions and convey their heritage. The Virtual Pavilion allows guests to free-roam with intuitive navigation to each specific section of interest. Each section has a 3D rendered product model with which guests can interact. To establish efficient communication between users and Edwards’ global experts, we integrated live chat avatars. Visitors will also see auto-played movies as they approach each section, along with animated signage to aid in the overall visitor experience.
There are multiple gaming hotspots to create a fun and immersive element. To add further enjoyment, we included a virtual helter-skelter. The helter-skelter allows guests to see a 360° vision of the Virtual Pavilion.
The experience has a powerful WordPress driven back office area developed to support the registration, pavilion map, analytics and allows for easy management of content.

What Does the Future Hold for this Virtual Event
The future plans for the Virtual Pavilion along with sales and marketing efforts are to use this as a valuable tool for HR and training.
In the interest of creating an immersive and personal experience for each visitor, we have discussed additional rooms and configurations, along with the ability to have 3D avatars created by visitors.
